About

Our small family farm invites you to camp in luxury under a canopy of redwoods. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville in a redwood valley, we offer two glamping sites that have everything you need to enjoy nature in style. One of the sites is called The Orchard. You can drive your car right up to it. The other requires climbing stairs to the top of a hill. We call that one The Knoll. This page describes The Orchard site. See my other listings to view more info on The Knoll.

Good to know

The Orchard Site features a carpeted 16 foot round tent with a queen size bed with all linens, pillows blankets, as well as a couch, coffee table, drawers for clothing, and solar powered lights both inside and outside. It has a small outdoor kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, pots, pans, coffee, tea, and a 5-gallon water jug. Enjoy your meals on a large outdoor table nestled under a shade awning. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided. There is a cooler, a compost bin for your food scraps, porto-potty service and a hand washing station. For showering, feel free to use our gorgeous hand made spiral outdoor shower, and then relax under the stars in our 5 person hot tub! Please note, it is a shared hot tub. Our farm is located 10 min drive outside of Garberville. Our driveway is a 2 mile dirt road in excellent condition that does require 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles. Unfortunately, this listing is not a good fit for 2 wheel drive cars. Please message us if you have any questions. We'd be happy to chat with you!

Neighborhood

If you’re a nature lover, Humboldt county has endless beauty to behold. It is home to the tallest trees on the planet. It boasts majestic cliffs overlooking the ocean. Crystal clear rivers and pebble beaches meander through its rolling hillsides. There are lagoons to kayak in, dunes and forests to hike in, rivers and beaches to swim in, and this luxurious Glamping site to relax in. We are 10 mins from the town of Garberville and the gorgeous Eel River. The river beaches are a great place to go swimming with kids. There is a community park also 10 mins away with a playground, farm animals, and many great trails through vineyards, woods and meadows. Please be aware that many local trails do not allow dogs. Our property also has a no pets policy.

Guest Access

Please note that the tent has one queen sized bed. We are able to add a single bed if requested, or a 2nd regular camping tent if there is a bigger group. All sites are very private. You and the other campsite on the property share an outdoor bath / shower, as well as the hot tub. You are welcome to take walks on our property and to hang out by the creek.

Staying at the orchard was such a beautiful experience! The hot tub under the stars was so relaxing. We slept like a dream in the gorgeous tent. Ernesto was a wonderful host, showing us everything we needed to know when we got in (later than expected). And Grego the cat was so friendly and cute! We loved the privacy and feel of this glamping experience!

It was very private and we felt safe. The owners did a great job with fencing, etc., to provide privacy and keep it cozy. It was remote (which shouldn’t be a surprise). We felt like we needed to do all our touring and “in town” stuff, like all meals, before returning to our yurt for the evening.

What a beautiful spot out in the woods. Ana gave such clear directions and met us when we arrived to show us everything and give us helpful instructions. The yurt was so nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower! We weren’t able to use the hot tub because someone else was in it until closing time so we can’t comment on that but it looked amazing. But we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Find us

Our farm is located 10 mins outside of Garberville. It is easy to get to but you need your own car. Our drive way is a 2 mile dirt road in excellent condition. You do not need a 4Wheel drive to get here, but if you have it, please use it so that our roads stay in great shape. If you have a VERY LOW clearance vehicle, you might want to drive a little off-center as the road has a little hump in the middle in some places.
